OBJECTIVES

The aim of the Foundation is to promote, progress and deepen the scientific knowledge of the neurovascular diseases, specially in the prevention, diagnostic and treatment of stroke, the third cause of death and the first of disability in adults all over the world. In particular:

1 · To perform research projects:
To support the development of works, studies and research projects of neurovascular diseases, stimulating specially innovative projects related to attention and prevention of these diseases.

2 · To spread Knowledge:
To spread the knowledge of neurovascular diseases in the area of diagnostic, treatment and prevention. To collaborate with other scientific and medical institutions (national and from abroad), to obtain a wide diffusion of these diseases.

3 · To create an interdisciplinary approach:
To create an interdisciplinary approach by means of meetings, study groups, conferences, seminars,.... To organise exchange meetings with prestigious and experienced researchers in the neurovascular area in order to generate proposals and recommendations to improve the situation of the disease.

4 · To constitute an Observatory of the disease:
To constitute an Observatory of the disease in our environment, with independence and neutrality from the private industry and institutional agents. It should be a guide for healthcare professionals working with stroke, warranting the best resources to prevent, diagnose and treatment of stroke.
Also, it should be supportive for stroke patients, warranting that they receive what they need.

Made all the resources available to achieve their aims and to do the planned activities.
